The likelihood of above average rainfall over Australia has increased as La Niña is underway in the tropical Pacific, targeting eastern New South Wales, eastern Victoria, and south-eastern Queensland. As wet weather continues, RRT’s support won’t run dry.

Our volunteers in Brisbane and Condobolin have supported flood preparation efforts, working with the Brisbane City Council to help fill 150,000 sandbags and 3,000 sandbags with the local SES in Condobolin to prepare communities for predicted wet weather.

It is likely these wet conditions won’t neutralise until early next year, so RRT are on guard and ready to support to help ease the pressure of flood-effected families and communities in need.
