RRT Backs Farm Rebuild After Fires
RRT has leant its support to a grassroots organisation based in Albury/Wodonga as it helps farmers rebuild fencing in the wake of devastating bushfires.
Fencing for Fires (FFF) held ‘Australia’s Biggest Working Bee’ over the weekend in the Upper Murray, with volunteers removing damaged fencing and putting up new lines at 15 properties.
RRT Albury volunteers were on site to provide 200 meals to the FFF crews, including chicken burgers, sandwich packs and refreshments.
Fencing for Fires is a great example of community and mateship – everyday Aussies giving up their time to help farmers back on their feet after a tough bushfire season. RRT was happy to provide breakfast, lunch and dinner to the FFF volunteers, to ensure they stayed energised and focused on the tough job they had.
Despite doing hard labour in high temperatures, the FFF Army stayed positive and got the job done – and it was a real team effort.

FFF was established in 2020 by Jamie Wolf after Victorian Black Saturday bushfires. It works with local communities and landholders to coordinate fencing repairs and provide practical assistance.
