World leaders gathered recently to help tackle climate change at the COP26 summit in Glasgow, the UN’s Climate Change Conference. The global summit required a police operation of an unprecedented scale, and RRT rose to the occasion to support the more than 13,000 police officers who had been deployed to assist with security.

73 RRT volunteers gifted 445 hours of their time to support the extensive police operation surrounding this summit, donating 13,000 RRT Care Kits, filled with personal care products, and water, all gifted with a trademark RRT smile.

The team were stationed at six locations around Glasgow to greet all incoming police personnel and gift them an RRT Care Kit and water bottle as many had flown in for the occasion.

A massive thanks goes to all the police personnel and forces for their service during this important summit, and to RRT volunteers from across Scotland and North England who volunteered their time. RRT is humbled to step in and support in this small way as the world works toward a brighter future.
