The Rapid Relief Team’s Board of Directors is made of up of business-minded leaders who have expertise in the following areas: finance, community welfare, procurement, accounting, asset management, and information technology.
Andy joined RRT UK in December 2019 as Finance Director. Andy is Managing Director of his own Safety Footwear business which he co-founded 21 years ago and has also served as a Trustee of Hughes Travel Trust for 17 years. He now brings his wealth of commercial and charity experience to the RRT UK Board.
David joined the board of RRT UK in the Summer of 2018 having previously been involved with a number of charitable trusts. David is an executive board member in several businesses in the manufacturing and wholesale distribution sectors. His focus is assisting to maintain RRT UK’s legal, regulatory and compliance obligations.
Jonathan was one of the first Board Members to be elected to the RRT UK Board in 2013. As the sales director of Havwoods, a supplier of timber flooring and cladding to international projects, his expertise in project management has been invaluable during the roll out of the RRT Family Food Box Initiative for the UK. Jonathan’s main role in RRT is event sign-off in addition to running individual projects.
Murray has been an active Director of the Rapid Relief Team since its inception into the UK in 2014. Murray is the Managing Director of a global wholesale spray equipment business and has extensive experience in sales and operations management and brings a wealth of skills to the RRT Board. Murray is also actively involved with the event management and operational teams within RRT, HR management and also works with the Rapid Relief Team in Italy.
Rod has been a director of RRT since it was founded in 2014 working to set up the operation and obtain charitable status in 2015. Rod has worked for over 25 years in the private sector as a director of a chemical and polymer manufacturing company supplying products globally. A wide variety of skills are contributed with a focus on Public Relations and risk management.
Sam commenced his involvement with RRT in a volunteer capacity in 2016 before being elected as a Board Member in February 2019. As well as being a passionate and active volunteer for the Central West Region, Sam’s role is General Manager which touches most aspects of the organisation, but predominantly is the conduit between Global Head Office and the UK region. Outside of RRT, Sam has extensive experience in sales management and is a Director in a national wholesale cleaning supplies business.
Tim was one of the first Board Members to be elected to the RRT UK Board in 2013. Tim is the Managing Director of a national Supplier to the composite manufacturing industry. Tim also works as a business consultant and brings a variety of experience to RRT. Tim is involved with event review and sign-off and works with the finance team.
