RRT Supports: Lincolnshire Police’s Mental Health Week
On October 10th, the Rapid Relief Team (RRT) set their red tent at Lincolnshire Police HQ as part of Mental Health Week. Despite the chilly weather, the sun was shining, and staff and attendees lined up for Krispy Kreme doughnuts and hot coffee.
Lincolnshire Police organised this event to raise awareness, recognising its importance for the well-being of their staff. Understanding the importance of this cause, RRT Lincoln was contacted by Lincolnshire Police regarding their upcoming Mental Health Week roadshow designed to improve the well-being of staff within the force and provide opportunities for greater awareness of the support available to them. It was great to support Lincolnshire police to increase staff participation and involvement at the headquarters and South Park station.
As the day unfolded, RRT volunteers served a total of 150 delicious Krispy Kreme doughnuts, creating a welcoming space for officers to take a well-deserved break from their busy schedules. The event fostered connection and conversation, allowing attendees to enjoy a treat while engaging in meaningful discussions.
With one in four people in the UK affected by poor mental health each year, the commitment to addressing these challenges is crucial. The event at Lincolnshire Police HQ, supported by RRT, was a significant step towards promoting mental well-being. By coming together to raise awareness and provide support, we can all contribute to building a healthier community.
