On Tuesday 23rd June, the Team in Liverpool were delighted to assist Merseyside Fire & Rescue Service with their Simulated Ship Fire Exercise, with lunch and refreshments for the crews as well as delegates from the Home Office. Serving RRT’s Signature Beef Burger Meal and a selection of hot and cold drinks, the crews were glad to be fed and hydrated on such a warm and sunny day.

The exercise ran in the afternoon and the purpose was to work in partnership with Cammell Laird, a ship building and repair company, to train staff in ship firefighting procedures. The simulated exercise which involved a galley fire and a fall in the engine room was their first major training exercise in over 18 months due to the pandemic!

It was great to support the MFRS crews in the amazing works they do in our communities.
