The team from Liverpool RRT came to the rescue to help support a fundraising event for The Whitechapel Centre of Liverpool, after the original venue hosts pulled out last minute. RRT provided breakfast for 100 participants, while Liverpool PBCC also stepped in to donate the hire of a toilet trailer for the day.

The fundraiser involved a 5 mile dawn walk from Liverpool City Centre along Otterspool promenade to Riversdale Merseyside Police Sports and Social Association in Aigburth.

As well as raising funds for The Whitechapel Centre, the event was designed to show solidarity with their Outreach Team, who are out from 6am in the morning until late evening, walking at least 5 miles a day, to support people who are sleeping rough in Liverpool.
