A Day of Teamwork: RRT Joins ‘She Inspires 2024’
On Thursday, October 24th, local Rapid Relief Team (RRT) volunteers from Liverpool joined Merseyside Police at the ‘She Inspires 2024’ event.
Organised by Merseyside Police, this empowering event has expanded to reach 40 schools across Merseyside, inviting 800 new students to join the program. ‘She Inspires 2024’ provided girls aged 12-14 a unique opportunity to participate in football sessions led by professional coaches from the LFC Foundation and Everton in the Community, supported by Liverpool County FA. The day was filled with teamwork, encouragement, and skill-building, creating an inspiring environment for young players to thrive.
‘She Inspires’, an initiative by Liverpool FA, ensures that women and girls across Liverpool and Merseyside have full access to football. RRT Liverpool was proud to support this phase of the program, partnering with Everton in the Community, LFC Foundation, Liverpool County FA, Merseyside Police, Merseyside Fire and Rescue, and the Merseyside Police and Crime Commissioner to create an unforgettable experience for young girls. RRT served 800 of their signature burger meals and refreshments to approximately 450 participants, fueling a day of growth, teamwork, and community connection.
Karen Jones from Merseyside Police Wellbeing Dogs expressed her gratitude, saying, “RRT, you are simply the best. Thank you for feeding everyone today. Not all superheroes wear capes! Even Paw Patrol sends a big thank you for the burgers!”
