The Princess Alexandra Hospital Trust in Harlow have set on a great scheme called Final Friday events for all staff and contractors – this is held on the last Friday of every month during the summer.  These events are held to raise funds for the capital purchases of the hospital, like scanners etc.

The first event was a BBQ lunch provided by RRT with their excellent cooking trailers, catering equipment and volunteer staff.

The RRT team started setting up at 8.00 am ready for the 11.30 serving time

Lunch was either a BBQ hot dog with all the trimmings or a gourmet burger in a brioche bun with salad, sauces and cheese to accompany it, this was topped off by a chocolate or blueberry muffin.

All this was priced at £2.50/meal which included a drink. RRT had good steady stream of hungry customers either coming off shift or going on shift, or just simply taking a lunch break!

This created a vibrant, lively atmosphere enjoying the sun, friends and hospitality!

They even had a local busker serenade them!

In the end, as always all good things have to end, RRT finally served their last customer at 2.30pm.

A very enjoyable day was had by both those that served and those that ate! All funds raised were donated to the PAH trust.

Thank you all – another successful RRT event!
