On Wednesday the 4th of November 2015, 13 members of the Griffith/Leeton branch, with a number of volunteers from Carevan with their tables and chairs, fed some 60 people of all ages. RRT Griffith provided some 80 meals and 150 take away packs of a Spaghetti Bolognese to the community.

The local RRT trailer again proved its practical compact design and was quickly and efficiently set up to start with, and the food arrived piping hot, right on schedule. This was kept hot on the built-in BBQ plate and it worked like a charm.

Those fed were all appreciative, and the event had a very positive atmosphere. Local bakeries donated left-over products to be given out with the meals and take away packs, and this was also well received.

The weather was threatening rain but held off until after the meal was finished. The shelter was set up just in case.

The event was very positive and successful. We look forward to helping Griffith’s community again in the future.
