It’s all about Mind Matters.

Did you know 3 million Australians are living with depression or anxiety?

The Mind Matters Expo was set on in support of mental health and wellbeing by TasTAFE Community Services Students.

The aim is to improve the understanding of mental health and wellbeing in our community, by empowering people to seek support in the management, recovery and resilience of their mental health and wellbeing.

The family-friendly event, held at the Gateway Church in Devonport, had much to offer all ages. With raffles, jumping castle, massages, face painting, music and loads of information – the Mind Matters Expo certainly had plenty of sizzle.

In support of this event, 13 members of the Tasmanian RRT team cooked up a barbeque for all those attending. It was all smiles from those who enjoyed the hamburgers and sausages throughout the day. All up 135 meals were served from 10.30 to 2.00pm.

The Expo was a great success thanks to TasTAFE and the Gateway Church; and the support of the many organisations and individuals exhibiting and attending this event.
