For the fourth year running, RRT volunteers from Castlemaine popped their joggers on to support the members of the Castlemaine community who challenged themselves to the 2022 Run The Maine event!

Participants either enjoy a 5km walk through the botanical gardens or tackle a 10km run or half marathon through beautiful woodlands of Castlemaine to help raise funds for the local hospital, Castlemaine Health.

RRT volunteers cheered on the participants, supplying cold refreshments during the course and a delicious beverage at the end of the finish line. Our volunteers helped ensure everything ran smoothly, assisting in the overall organisation of the day by manning water stations, marshalling and assisting with the set up and pack down of the event.

In 2021, Run the Maine was held virtually due to COVID restrictions, so RRT donated $2,000 to assist the good work of Castlemaine Health.

Our volunteers were thrilled to join in on another year of Run the Maine, and look forward to continuing their support to raise vital funds for  Castlemaine Health. For more information on Run the Maine, visit
