RRT launches trailer in Tuggerah to build Stronger Communities
Supporting communities in times of crisis is at the heart of RRT. RRT are grateful to Federal Member for Dobell, Emma McBride MP, whose support helped RRT to purchase a new trailer through the Stronger Communities Program. This new trailer will now assist us to go beyond, reach wider areas and empower people in crisis.
The Central Coast (NSW) has a new emergency response trailer ready to be deployed in the region to aid the region in times of need.
The trailers are used widely by RRT across Australia in response to emergency situations like bushfires, flood, drought and more recently the Covid-19 pandemic.
The trailer was purchased with the help of a $4500 grant through Round 5 of the Dobell Stronger Communities Program.
Rapid Relief Team caught up with Local Member for Dobell, Emma McBride MP, in Tuggerah on 2 March to show what the trailer could do, as well show some new initiatives underway to support the community.
This included sharing samples of our recently launched Frontline Snack Packs, Food boxes and our Smarrrt Cookies for schoolkids.
RRT’s new trailer for the Central Coast will also be wheeled out at community events as well as to support people in need like disadvantaged youth, the homeless, hospitals and their staff, and carer organisations.
