Pollie Pedal 2024 Refuels with RRT

Politicians pedalling for a good cause from the Central Coast to northern NSW were refueled by RRT with volunteers serving up breakfast at key stops along the way, including Gosford, Maitland, Merriwa, Murrurundi, Tamworth, Armidale, and Dorrigo.
Pollie Pedal 2024 is an initiative by Wandering Warriors, a charity that supports veterans and their families. The event brings together residents in regional communities and their Members of Parliament for a cycling tour that raises much needed funds.
RRT’s Operations Manager, Mick Dunn said volunteers served breakfast to riders at key stops including Armidale, Dorrigo, Gosford, Maitland and Tamworth.
“Pollie Pedal is a fantastic event that brings politicians and their constituents together with one goal, to raise money for veterans and their families, and the Rapid Relief Team is proud to be able to support in our own small way,”
RRT Operations Manager, Michael Dunn
Pollie Pedal 2024 took place in Northern New South Wales, covering a challenging route of 1,001 kms between Gosford and Port Macquarie.

“The support from other charity organisations like RRT is a huge boost to the riders taking part in Pollie Pedal by providing a much-needed warm welcome along with their hot coffee and carbs each day to ensure riders are refuelled. Every push of the pedal helps and so far, we’ve covered more than 24,000 kilometres and raised more than $7.3 million dollars. Our veterans give us so much, and this is our way of giving back."
