RRT launches new initiative to release children’s potential to learn
The Rapid Relief Team (RRT) has made it their mission to empower the youth beyond their adversities, and their latest initiative, Smarrt Cookie, aims to do just that.
Designed to help break down the barrier hunger has to education, RRT’s Smarrt Cookie nutritional bar will soon make its way to primary schools across Australia and into the hands of children who may otherwise go without.
Engineered to deliver all the nutritional goodness children need to start their day, the Smarrt Cookie nutritional bar aims to unleash children’s potential to learn and ensures their rumbling tummy doesn’t distract them in the classroom. Full of flavour and perfect for children on the run, the bar is designed to deliver a nutritional balance of energy, protein, carbohydrates, fats and fibre in equal proportions of daily intake values.
Alarming statistics from Food Bank Australia’s report, ‘Rumbling Tummies’, showed that more than one in five Australian children have experienced food insecurity in the last 12 months, with 18% of children going to school hungry at least once a week, and 15% going to school without a packed lunch or lunch money. These alarming statistics led RRT to develop the Smarrt Cookie nutritional bar to help build bright futures for young Australians, and eventually, youth across the globe.
