The NSW Rural Fires Service Teams and Pilots are currently braving 40°C temperatures in Tumut fighting the fires around the Snowy Valleys which were ignited from lightning strikes last week.
Weather conditions are not proving to be very favourable in the coming days, so there is no let up for our hard-working emergency heroes in sight yet!

The Rapid Relief Team in Wagga Wagga and Albury have been only too glad to provide some relief with a good feed of a ham sandwich, a piece of brownie, a banana, a pack of chips and refreshing spring water.

RRT are set up in 2 locations, Tumut Fire Control Centre and Tumbarumba Show Grounds, and will be serving firefighting emergency personnel over the next week as needed.

Check back here to further updates over the next few days!
