RRT has supported the NSW Rural Fire Service (RFS) by providing 40 meals during an assessment day for new recruits in the Blue Mountains.

The session brought together firefighters, assessors, and 21 newly qualified recruits from brigades including South Katoomba, Mount Tomah, Mount Wilson/Mt Irvine, Bell and Blaxland.

RRT volunteers served 40 Signature Burgers to the participants as they took part in the onboarding event.

“Every opportunity we get to support our local firies is an honour. They put themselves on the line for our community, and if the RRT can help them prepare by keeping them well-fed and hydrated, then we’re grateful to play a small part in that effort. RRT knows that a well-timed meal service helps maintain energy levels during physically demanding drills.”
