VincentCare operate The Ozanam Community Centre which is based in North Melbourne.  This centre is part of the Inner Melbourne Community Hub which provides a range of services including crisis accommodation, intensive case management, drop-in support, health promotion, meals, and recreation activities.

The Ozanam Community Centre, is a drop-in support centre and does outstanding work as a shelter for homeless and vulnerable people in the area.  They provide a meal service at lunchtime Monday-Friday.  And, in addition to their selfless work, they provide a yearly Pre-Christmas lunch for their clients, to help spread the Christmas cheer to some of the less privileged people in Melbourne CBD.

For the second time this year, the Rapid Relief Team assisted the Ozanam Community Centre by providing the Pre-Christmas BBQ lunch to approximately 170 users of the centre on Friday 19th December 2014. The delicious lunch consisted of Hamburgers with all the fillings, fresh hot chips and soft drinks, and was followed by Marshmallow Santas for desert!

Live music was provided by the RRT band members, who set the tone and atmosphere for the day. Many of the Ozanam community joined in with impromptu singing and dancing adding to the lively atmosphere and enjoyment of the festive spirit.

The Ozanam community centre and the clients were very thankful for the meal and services provided by the RRT and kindly presented the team a Certificate of Appreciation for their efforts.
