RRT Supports Cyclists Raising Money for Birmingham Children’s Hospital
On Saturday 25th September, RRT volunteers from Birmingham and Wales fuelled cyclists participating in the charity ride #Ride4Dougie, a ride Dougie’s parents organised to raise money to give something back to the wonderful team at the hospital for their outstanding care and support. Dougie, aged 4, from Mid Wales has a cancerous brain tumour and is currently undergoing treatment at the Birmingham Children’s Hospital.
Providing hot meals, refreshments and barista made coffee, RRT supported people who cycled the long ride. The 150+km ride kicked off with a bacon roll at the hospital before hitting the road, over an elevation of 3500ft, the cyclists and support crews were rewarded with another BBQ, the RRT Gourmet Burger meal, when they reached Newtown.
RRT is humbled to support this important and influential cause.
