Grimsby RRT provide refreshments at Cromwell Road Police Station’s Nee Naw event

On Saturday 17th August, members of the public where invited to Cromwell Police Station for their annual Nee Naw day. The event is a summer holiday favourite for many, with thousands of people attending to join in the fun, learn about their local emergency services and raise money for a great cause.
The local police team were joined by their colleagues from Humberside Fire and Rescue and other emergency services who were on hand to ensure that it was not only an educational day out, but a fun one too. From climbing walls to face painting, as well as animals from a local farm and even an American police car, there were lots of exciting activities to get involved in. The young people were also able to learn about how the emergency services work to keep us safe every day.
Grimsby RRT were privileged to provide free refreshments throughout the day. The team arrived at the event early to get set up and prepared before the lunch rush. With an impressive turn out, the team were constantly on their toes providing hot and cold drinks, crisps and burgers.
The Health Tree Foundation Charity
This year, the Nee Naw day event was raising money for the Health Tree Foundation Charity who work closely with the Northern Lincolnshire and Goole NHS Foundation Trust. All money raised from the event will go towards helping the charity provide acute hospital and community services to a population of over 400,000 people across North and North East Lincolnshire and the East Riding of Yorkshire. As a foundation, they work tirelessly to ensure that every time someone walks through the hospital doors, the best available equipment is waiting for them in a comfortable environment.
The projects that are funded by generous giving throughout the year improve the hospitals themselves, support the research for future medical treatments, enable staff the benefit from the necessary medical training, and install the state-of-the-art equipment and community services across the region.
Thank you everyone for a fantastic and well organised day out at the Police Station!
