RRT Serves Breakfast at St Albans Sleepout for Herts Young Homeless
The Rapid Relief Team in Watford was honoured to support Herts Young Homeless Charity by providing a hot breakfast to all participants of the St Albans Sleepout. On Friday, November 8th, at 8 p.m., the community gathered to spend a night under the stars, experiencing firsthand the challenges faced by young people in Hertfordshire facing homelessness. Their efforts aimed to raise essential funds for those sleeping rough this winter.
Herts Young Homeless aims to fight homelessness across the UK by organising events like the St Albans Sleepout event, hoping to make a difference this year and hoping to raise 40,000 for more young people in need this winter. Herts Young Homeless has been supporting people in Hertfordshire since 1998; the charity has various experienced workers directly helping over 5400 young people who face homelessness in the UK, providing vital support to these young people.
RRT was proud to be part of this event, arriving early on Saturday, November 9th, to grill a hot breakfast for the sleepout participants. Volunteers from Watford served 200 bacon breakfast rolls and hot drinks, providing warmth and support to the community gathered for the cause.
