RRT Supported Free Family Fun for NSW Youth Week

RRT has helped children in Sydney’s west celebrate the end of Term One as well as NSW Youth Week, at the Youth Active Day held by the Dundas Area Neighbourhood Centre (DANC). Sydney volunteers supplied the sustenance for the after-school event at Sturt Park, cooking 220 sausage sandwiches for students aged 5 to 18 and families from the Dundas and Telopea area. The Active Parramatta Van was there to run activities and games for the kids for a few hours in the afternoon sunshine.
“RRT is always happy to help out community groups offering kids and their families free and fun opportunities to get out in their neighbourhoods in an active and healthy way. The Dundas Area Neighbourhood Centre does great work supporting the people of western Sydney, especially as the cost of living is hitting a lot of families hard and entertaining kids can be hard on the hip pocket."

The Youth Active Day was one of 12 events RRT is supporting during this year’s NSW Youth Week, which runs from 9 – 17 April. Active Parramatta Van is a free service operated by the City of Parramatta which offers community fitness programs and promotes healthy lifestyles for all ages. DANC serves the communities of Telopea, Dundas, Dundas Valley, Ermington and Rydalmere, offering services, activities, events and support for children, youths, adults, parents, carers, and financially disadvantaged families.
