The National Cherry Festival celebrates the arrival of the cherry crop in Young NSW and sees many visitors and harvest workers converge on the town over the three days that the event runs for. The festival features a wide variety of family activities including a street parade, cherry pip spitting, cherry pie eating competition, a wine expo, carnival rides, antique engine and tractor rally, car show and more!

The RRT took advantage of the increased number of tourists in town due to the event, to hold a fundraising lunch in support of the Young Food Hall on Saturday the 5th of December. A large number of sausages and cold drinks were served during the day and over $1000 of donations received by the Young Food Hall. All funds raised will be used by the Young Food Hall to help provide Christmas hampers to the homeless and those in need.

The day was a huge success with many comments received as to the professionalism of the team, the quality of the food and the setup.

This is the second occasion that the RRT has been pleased to help support the Young Food Hall in the last three months and we look forward to working with them again in the future.
