February 2018 saw RRT Albury out to help raise funds for the Albury Wodonga Regional Cancer Council, along with the 197 keen riders who took part in the Lake Hume Cycle Challenge.

The five different tracks took the riders through the amazing North East Victorian region with the rolling hills, the beautiful Lake Hume and the vast amount of Aussie wildlife making it one of the most relaxing and amazing rides.

This wonderful event organized by The Rotary Club of Bellbridge is held every year to help raise money for the Albury Wodonga Regional Cancer Centre. Over the past 6 years it has raised over $100,000.

RRT Albury was thrilled to be able to be a part of this great event with 13 RRT volunteers serving delicious beef burgers and sausages to the hungry cyclists and their families. Set up began at 6.30am to ensure that everything was ready to go as soon as the first riders made it back. RRT served meals through to 2pm with over 250 burgers sold.

Overall it was a great success. RRT donated over $800 to the cancer centre and everyone had loads of fun!

A huge thanks to all those that were involved and a special thank you to the Rotary Club for the wonderful day. RRT Albury looks forward to working with you again in the future.
