A Warm Meal, Hot Drink and a Smile on a cold winters morning means a lot to someone doing it rough in the streets. Thanks to Charitys like Hutt St Centre, this can be the case for 1 in 200 people that are homeless in Australia.

Hutt Street Centre provides over 40,000 meals to the homeless each year and offer social and support services to over 2000 people. RRT are glad to have supported them for the 5th year running this event.

Friday 2nd August 2019, at Mclaren Vale Primary School was the Hutt Street Centre ‘Walk a Mile in My Boots event’ to raise funds and awareness for Homelessness in South Australia. 20 Members of RRT Adelaide were onsite in support of this great cause at 6am to provide a Hot Breakfast for all.

It Was a brilliant clear morning to see the sun rise in the heart of the scenic Mclaren Vale Wine Region! RRT served 1000 Bacon and Egg Rolls plus Hot Drinks as the participants returned from their 1 mile walk in the cold!

Was great to see the support growing for this event with many Young School Children, Parents and local residents participating and experiencing what a typical winters morning is like for the homeless.

WAMIMB reminds walkers that for someone doing it tough they are not alone.
