RRT Taunton Supports Hinkley to Sizewell Cycle Ride

Posted: April 23, 2025

From 7th–10th April 2025, the Rapid Relief Team (RRT) was proud to support Construction Sport during their Nuclear Coast to Coast Cycle, a powerful ride from Hinkley Point C to Sizewell C to raise awareness of mental health and suicide prevention in the construction industry.

Construction Sport, a charity focused on improving mental wellbeing in construction through sport and shared experiences, brought together riders and supporters to spark open conversations and show those struggling that they’re not alone.

8 RRT teams supported the riders along the route, serving barista-grade coffee, snacks, and finishing with our signature burger meal at the finish line. The event was part of our Construction Community Connect initiative, which supports resilience and wellbeing across the industry. We’re honoured to have played a small part in this inspiring effort to break the stigma around mental health in construction.

“It was incredibly moving to be part of this journey—not just to serve meals, but to stand with those making a real difference in the industry.”
