RRT Supports John Dalzell in His Annual Sit-Out

On December 20th, RRT Warrenpoint proudly supported John Dalzell in his annual sit-out in Newry City Centre to raise essential funds for the Southern Area Hospice. Local volunteers from the Rapid Relief Team (RRT) in Warrenpoint contributed to the event by setting up their signature red tent and serving 200 burger meals and refreshments to participants and the community.

The ‘John Dalzell Sit-Out’ is an inspiring fundraising effort that has been ongoing since 1992. John has braved the winter chill for over three decades, dedicating countless hours during the busy Christmas season to raise money for the hospice. Despite the cold, John and his dedicated “Sit-Out Team” continue to gather generous donations from the local area, providing vital support and hope to those in need.

RRT was proud to contribute to this vital event, supporting the Southern Area Hospice, whose dedicated staff tirelessly care for individuals with complex, life-limiting conditions. John, who has spent years raising funds for the hospice and the community, is a testament to the impact of vital charities like these, which provide essential care and support to those in need.
