RRT Reading Supports Community Resilience Event at Hillingdon Fire Station
On 9th May, Hillingdon Fire Station hosted a Community Resilience Event, bringing together emergency services and local partners to help strengthen public preparedness for emergencies. The Emergency Response Roadshow highlighted the important work carried out by organisations including the London Fire Brigade, NHS, Metropolitan Police, British Red Cross, Military, and local council teams.
Through interactive demonstrations and displays of specialist equipment and vehicles, attendees gained a better understanding of how these services work together to respond in times of need. The event provided a valuable opportunity for the community to engage directly with those who help keep them safe, while learning how to be better prepared themselves.
RRT Reading supported the event by serving 450 burger meals and showcasing we assist emergency services and communities during both planned events and live incidents.
“It was a privilege to be involved in such a well-supported event. It’s encouraging to see so many organisations working together and engaging with the community. We were pleased to share what RRT does and provide a meal for those attending.”
