RRT Liverpool Supports She Inspires Events

Posted: March 30, 2026

RRT has joined forces with local organisations to support the ‘She Inspires’ event which seeks to empower young girls from Liverpool through football.

Funded by Merseyside Police and the Police and Crime Commissioner, Emily Spurrell, the She Inspires initiative provides hundreds of vulnerable young girls across the city the chance to build on their social skills and learn more about the support networks available to them – all through the power of football.

Run in partnership with Everton in the Community, LFC Foundation, and Liverpool County FA, RRT Liverpool volunteers were on hand during the latest She Inspires Mass Engagement Day held at the Liverpool County FA Facility, for around 250 girls aged 10-11.

RRT volunteers supported the day by serving more than 300 burger meals to participants, organisers and emergency service personnel supporting the event, helping to keep everyone energised throughout the activities.

The event brought together partners from across sport, policing and the community sector to create a positive and engaging environment where participants could take part in football sessions and connect with organisations dedicated to supporting young people across Merseyside.

“The She Inspires programme is a powerful example of what can be achieved when local partners come together with a shared commitment to supporting young people. It was fantastic to see so many girls taking part, building confidence and forming positive connections in a safe and encouraging environment. We are grateful to the Rapid Relief Team for their support, providing food and refreshments throughout the day, helping us ensure the day was welcoming and enjoyable for everyone involved.”
