RRT Joins Hereford Fire Service Open Day, Serving 1,000 Meals
The Rapid Relief Team (RRT) was delighted to take part in this year’s Hereford Fire Service ‘Open Day’ on Saturday, August 31st, lending support to the Hereford and Worcester Fire Service and the local community.
With the sun shining, RRT’s BBQ station was lively, serving attendees over 1,000 burger meals and cold drinks. It was a successful event for everyone involved, with the team dedicated to supporting the community with care and compassion.
The Hereford and Worcester Fire and Rescue Service is constantly on the go, operating 24/7 and responding to over 6,500 incidents annually. The Service provides fire, road, traffic collisions, and rescue support, with 380 on-the-call firefighters handling various emergencies. These firefighters significantly put their lives on the line to support the community.
The Rapid Team Relief (RRT) wanted to show their support and appreciation for these real-life heroes by attending their open day, providing burger meals, and building connections with the service. RRT offers tangible support and catering assistance to charities, government, and emergency services confronting some of humankind’s greatest challenges.
