RRT Guildford Supports Disability Challengers Orange Aid Event

Posted: October 16, 2025

Disability Challengers’ Orange Aid Family Festival returned to Guildford Playcentre, welcoming over 400 disabled children and their families for a vibrant day of play, music, and connection. From miniature train rides and emergency vehicle tours to karaoke and live performances, the event offered a safe, inclusive space where children could truly be themselves.

RRT Guildford volunteers fuelled the fun by serving 850 hot meals to keep families energized throughout the day.

Beyond the activities, Orange Aid had a deeper impact—giving disabled children the chance to play freely, build confidence, and connect with others in a space designed just for them. For many families, it was a rare opportunity to relax, celebrate, and feel part of a supportive community.

"A huge massive wonderful thank you to the RRT team for your amazing support at the weekend,” said Becky, the Challengers Community & Events Manager. “It was so lovely to have you there, and we really appreciate how everything you provided was free! This is incredibly generous of you, and your setup and food were wonderful”
