Rapid Relief Team Charity Delivers More Than 118,000 Meals to Families in Gaza

The Rapid Relief Team (RRT) has successfully delivered more than 118,000 meals to families and children in need in Gaza.
The charity is working with the Global Empowerment Mission (GEM) on the international initiative and is now moving to scale up its support to provide vital humanitarian aid to those who need it the most in the region.
The RRT’s first donation has seen 1,560 food boxes reach over 1,550 families and more than 7,600 people in Gaza, with an initial investment of over $102,000 funded exclusively by the charity, reflecting the RRT’s commitment to provide practical relief in times of crisis all over the world.
In response to the ongoing crisis, the RRT is working with the GEM to organise a further eight trucks of food to be sent to Gaza. The GEM is an established international humanitarian organisation officially authorised to deliver aid directly within Gaza, with a tracked record of ensuring aid reaches citizens.
Led by the RRT’s team in the UK, the action will see more than 3,100 food boxes per week over the next month securely reach families and children.
The RRT, which is formed of volunteers from the Plymouth Brethren Christian Church, has more than 10 years’ experience supporting vulnerable communities across the globe.
The charity provides practical support wherever it is needed and this is RRT’s second major international relief effort, building on the 14.6 million meals delivered to displaced Ukrainians since 2022.
Care in Crisis unites RRT’s international humanitarian work, enabling the charity to respond more rapidly to emergencies around the world, from conflict zones to natural disasters.
In Gaza, the charity aims to support innocent families and children and is committed to working with trusted organisations to deliver aid safely and effectively.
The RRT is calling for the establishment of humanitarian corridors to ensure aid reaches people in the most effective and dignified way, providing access to life-saving food, water and medical supplies.
“By working with trusted organisations on the ground we can ensure that essential food reaches families and children in Gaza, fulfilling our core mission of showing compassion in action wherever people are in crisis.“The humanitarian situation in Gaza has left thousands of families and children without food. Our focus has been to ensure that aid reaches those people swiftly and we are pleased to have worked with the Globa Empowerment Mission to make this possible.“Care and compassion are at the heart of everything that we do at the Rapid Relief Team and we are grateful to be playing a small but meaningful part in positively supporting people living in Gaza.”
