October In 60-Seconds

Posted: October 30, 2026

This October, RRT UK had the privilege of giving back to those who give so much.

During A&E Appreciation Week, emergency department teams across the country paused for coffee, cake and a heartfelt thank you, just as winter pressures began to build. For many, it was a rare moment to stop and feel appreciated.

In Swindon, firefighters spent the day training at their station, while in Norwich, Norfolk Fire and Rescue crews took part in Exercise Ravenhurst, with hot food on hand to keep them going.

In Birmingham, construction workers gathered with Mates in Mind, a charity supporting mental health in the construction industry, to talk openly about wellbeing on site. As part of our Construction Community Connect initiative, we were there with coffee and cake, to say thank you to an industry that builds the places we live and work.

From 205 events, including five emergency call-outs, 29,300 meals were served to those who serve. Caring for others as we would want to be cared for sits at the heart of all we do.

Thank you to everyone who made October possible.
