October 2025 in 60 Seconds!
Welcome to the 60-second video for October.
October was a record-breaking month as we launched A&E Appreciation Week nationwide, shining a light on the tireless work of A&E staff. From the 13th to the 17th, RRT volunteers hosted 115 events, serving coffee and cakes with heartfelt thanks.
We began in East Anglia, where the Hospital Hero Hike united communities to raise funds for NHS hospitals. RRT teams from Colchester and Ipswich served 1,000 meals to hikers at the start and finish lines.
Next, we marked World Mental Health Day at Royal Marsden Hospital in Chelsea, where RRT Sutton served 650 meals to support staff advancing cancer care and research.
Then we headed to Gloucester, joining Gloucester City Homes for the launch of a new Social Action Hub—a space to tackle anti-social behaviour and support the local community. RRT volunteers served meals to guests and partners.
In total, RRT volunteers served over 22,000 meals across 156 events this October—with care, compassion, and community at the heart of it all.
That’s it for this month—see you next time.
