The sun was shining on Saturday 7th December when the RRT headed out to support the ‘5K Reindeer Run 2019’. The fundraising event was organised by Bournemouth Hospital Charity to contribute to general funds for the Royal Bournemouth Hospital.

The event was held at Avon Heath Country Park, Ringwood near Bournemouth. All participants were given antlers to help them fly round the fun-run course.

RRT supported this event by providing refreshments for all attendees. There was also a local DJ on hand to play help motivate the runners.

Well done to all the runner and thank you to RRT members who helped out.

What does the Bournemouth Hospital Charity do?

Bournemouth Hospital Charity helps to enhance the care and treatment of patients at the Royal Bournemouth and Christchurch Hospitals.

The funds raised through donations, gifts, legacies and events help the charity to provide the Hospitals with additional facilities and state-of-the-art new equipment as well as resources for staff, over and above what the NHS can fund.

Through work alongside the community, corporate partners and the many other supporters and volunteers who give their money and time, the charity is able to make a real difference to our patients, their families and the hospital staff.
