RRT Delivers Holiday Food Boxes to Families in Need This Winter
The holiday season is often a time of joy and celebration, but for many families facing financial hardship, it can be a time of stress and uncertainty. Recognising this need, the Rapid Relief Team (RRT) packed and distributed over 350 Holiday Food Boxes throughout December to families across the UK who were struggling to make ends meet.
These Food Boxes were designed to provide sustenance and comfort to families in need. Each box, intended to feed a family of four for up to two days, contained a selection of festive favourites, including honey-baked ham, custard, candy canes and a cake.
Spanning across various locations throughout the UK, from cities including London and Birmingham to towns like Tunbridge Wells and Fernhurst, the distribution reached far and wide. From Cardiff to Belfast, Edinburgh to Swindon, RRT Volunteers ensured that families in need from all corners of the country were cared for during the holiday period.
These Food Boxes have ended up in Schools, Charities, and Centres, including Cloverstone Primary School, where it is distributed to families.
"The food box I received meant that I could put some extra money in my meter to heat the house over Christmas."
"The food parcel my family received before Christmas meant I had some extra meals I could use for my children over the holiday period. Thank you."
"I can’t thank you enough for the food parcel. It really helped my family over Christmas."

The Food Boxes not only provide essential sustenance but also serve as a reminder of care and community spirit, bringing families together during the holidays. In moments of darkness, it is acts of kindness and compassion that help us move forward, reminding us of the power of community and the spirit of giving.
