RRT Stamford Supports Cambridgeshire Emergency Services Wellbeing Event
Cambridgeshire Constabulary and Cambridgeshire Fire & Rescue Service came together on 24 June to mark a joint Emergency Services Wellbeing Event, bringing officers, firefighters and support staff under one roof to focus on the health and wellbeing of those who serve their communities every day.
The event was coordinated by the wellbeing departments of both services and drew around 200 participants, a recognition of the shared commitment across policing and fire to ensuring that the people on the frontline are as well supported as those they protect.
RRT volunteers were glad to be on hand throughout the event, serving coffee and cakes to participants and providing a moment of warmth and connection in what is often a busy and demanding environment.
"It was a real privilege to support both Cambridgeshire Constabulary and Cambridgeshire Fire & Rescue at this event. Wellbeing initiatives like this make a genuine difference — they give people the space to step back, connect with colleagues, and feel valued for the work they do. We were honoured to play even a small part in that."
