RRT Kilmarnock Supports Walk the Loch for Recovery Communities
Individuals and families came together for Walk the Loch, a powerful event organised by The Zone and Shire Housing to support those on the journey of recovery from addiction. Set against the backdrop of the local landscape, participants took on either a 14-mile or 7-mile route, walking and running in solidarity with one another. Each person who crossed the finish line received a medal, marking not just the distance completed, but the determination and resilience behind it.
Events like this play an important role in building supportive communities, offering encouragement and connection to those navigating recovery. The day brought together people from different backgrounds, united by a shared commitment to hope, healing and progress.
RRT Kilmarnock was grateful to support the event, serving 130 burger meals to participants and volunteers throughout the day.
“It was a privilege to support Walk the Loch and stand alongside those taking part. The determination shown by everyone on the course was inspiring, and we were glad to provide a warm meal and a moment of encouragement along the way.”
