AU – St Vincent Hospital promotes the Scrubs Run event to raise money along with RRT Melbourne

Yes, the RRT are back again and really enjoying the opportunity to help.
The St Vincent’s Hospital in Melbourne is held its annual Scrubs Run on Sunday 17th April 2016 to raise much needed funds for the Good Samaritan Fund. It began at 9.30am and finished at beautiful Princess Park, Carlton.
The RRT is promoted this Awareness Day for the Scrubs Run at the St Vincent Hospital and the patients of the hospital, staff, public, business persons, ambulance personnel all really enjoyed it.
The Team started setting up early in the morning and by 10.30am were serving out meals. The preparation of over 800 meals included many volunteers who helped to also cook and serve to all. It was lovely to see patients themselves coming out of the Hospital especially to get a meal. Starting the day cooking bacon & egg buns with added options of cheese and sauces were quickly consumed by many.
For lunch sausages were served with onion and bacon in bread. A lot of special requests of different meal variations was much appreciated by many. The day was another great success – thank you!
