On the 26th of November 2015, Maitland Neighbourhood Centre held a White Ribbon Event for the purpose of educating the men and women of Maitland about the seriousness of violence to women and other domestic violence.

The education is designed to provoke men into standing up to this violence and not allowing it to be tolerated.

RRT assisted in getting as many persons as possible to attend the event by providing a free tea of delicious BBQ chicken and salad burgers with tea and coffee and cake served for desert.

Live music played throughout the evening and the night was a huge success. Over 85 persons were fed and nearly 200 chicken thigh fillets were barbequed and served, which was a great sign of appreciation for the hard working RRT BBQ cooks.
