The Rapid Relief Team AU in Bundaberg were honoured to be at the start of Bike for Burns 2019 event where they provided breakfast on Wednesday 15th May. The Toowoomba Team then put on a BBQ lunch for the riders and their escorts in Crows Nest on Saturday 18th May. The Bike riders moved on and were greeted again by RRT for their lunch stop in Ipswich on Monday 20th May 2019. Ipswich team served the riders with cold drinks, tender beef strip buns, fresh fruit and plenty of ice cream before they headed off on the final leg of their journey to Brisbane.

They arrived at The Brisbane Royal Children’s Hospital on the 21st May 19 where they received a great welcoming cheer after an amazing 650km, 7 day ride. The Brisbane Rapid Relief Team once again were pleased to welcome the riders and their families with a delicious lunch of chicken burgers and dessert.

This amazing group of men & women cycle from Bundaberg through to Brisbane Hospital to raise funds to improve research and treatment of burns, and for nursing care for burns victims. Many of the riders thanked RRT, saying they have never seen such care and generosity before.

All the best on your onward journey, and we look forward to seeing you again next year. Great effort guys and catch up again soon!
