It is always a privilege to support the Cancer Council as this disease continues to affect so many near to each one of us.

Tea and Toasters are a team who participate in the Relay for Life supporting the Cancer Council. They came up with the idea of the Colourburst Challenge in Hervey Bay where enthusiastic participants could enjoy the Boot Camp style exercises and dancing whilst being showered with coloured powder.

This was the first of its kind on the Fraser Coast and the day was set down for Saturday August 27.  RRT was involved in the setting up of the course and the massive clean-up at the end of the day with the much needed bottled water being handed out through the whole event.

The day started at 1pm under perfect weather conditions with the main event running from 4pm till 5.30pm on the main Seafront Oval.

As the music pumped and the 150 – 200 energetic men, women and children jogged, danced and sweated, the colour continued to be thrown until all resembled an artist’s palate.

The whole day was a huge success with many compliments flowing out to RRT for their continued support and help towards raising funds for the Cancer Council.

As the sky started to darken the day was finished with a huge eruption of all the excess powder thrown from jubilant yet weary and very colourful supporters.
