RRT recently supported a special Staff Appreciation Meal at Cambridge Memorial Hospital to recognize and celebrate hardworking hospital staff and their families.

33 local RRT volunteers from across Galt, Hamilton, St. Catherines, and Toronto gathered to serve a total of 900 meals to attendees. The event—the latest of several collaborations between RRT and Cambridge Hospital—was held in two shifts to accommodate the various schedules of hospital employees as a sweltering summer day soared into the mid-thirties, with humidity making it feel like mid-forties.

Angela Scrum, who supervised the event, praised the effort, saying, “The appreciation from the hospital staff was evident. RRT’s efforts received rave reviews, and the staff were deeply touched by the gesture. It’s clear that they have this down to a science.”

RRT prides itself on its rapid response and support in times of crisis as well as celebration. This Staff Appreciation Meal is just one example of their commitment to supporting local communities and those who serve them.
