Severe storms hit the Nooksack River Valley near the border of Western Washington and British Columbia, bringing with it heavy rain, strong winds and the worst flooding in 30 years. In Whatcom County, over 1,100 volunteers came out to assist home owners clean up their damaged properties.

With the support of the Whatcom Department of Emergency Management, RRT volunteers from Seattle helped fuel the emergency crews and volunteers by distributing hundreds of Frontline Snack Packs.

Our hearts go out to those who have lost their homes to the disaster and hope with the donated RRT Food Boxes they will find some relief amongst the chaos.

As flood waters began slowly receding, RRT Seattle was called back to Sumas, Washington to bring a fresh batch of Frontline Snack Packs to the hardworking volunteers who were still filling sandbags and cleaning up debris around town.
