RRT and Qizzle stationery initiative empowers students to learn

The Rapid Relief Team (RRT) has made it their mission to empower the youth beyond their adversities, and working with Qizzle to provide stationery to schools, aims to do just that.
Designed to help break down the barrier poverty has to education, RRT’s stationery packs are continuing to make their way around primary schools across New Zealand and into the hands of children who may otherwise go without.
RRT NZ has been working with Qizzle to give our kiwi kids the best chance to get ahead by relieving the pressure of stationery costs to our schools and families that struggle to afford them.
Account Manager at Qizzle, Aimee Kawe said “We like to support schools with their stationery and resource needs that Tamaki need for their learning and growing. Unfortunately, families do struggle with the cost of stationery. We are working with RRT to bring subsidised stationary packs to schools throughout Aotearoa.”
Handpicked to include all the learning tools children need to start their day, the stationery packs aim to unleash children’s potential to learn and ensure no student is at any disadvantage. Full of vibrant colour and creativity these packs ensure that children have got every chance in their learning.
Eden Chapman, principal of Sunset Primary School, decile 1a, in Rotorua said “We have to stretch every dollar as much as we can. The nice thing that RRT does for us with Qizzle is that I do not have to find that money – that’s huge for us because we have all the stationery here on day one. That means every kid starts on the same footing and just creates an environment where nobody has to feel uneasy about coming to school.”
Launched in 2020, the RRT stationery program with the help of Qizzle has donated $40,000 worth of stationery to 17 schools and supported over 5500 students.
