RRT Supports HopeWalk Suicide Awareness & Prevention

Posted: November 16, 2025

On Saturday, 13 September 2025, our community in Blenheim came together with purpose at the HopeWalk event in Marlborough, part of the wider HopeWalk movement aimed at suicide prevention, awareness, and connection.

HopeWalk is a community-led movement for suicide awareness and prevention, offering a space for individuals, whānau, and communities touched by suicide to connect, share stories, and raise awareness. HopeWalk partners with local groups and organisations to support prevention, intervention, and postvention efforts — being a voice for the voiceless and creating stronger, more connected communities.

RRT was honoured to play a part in this year’s Blenheim event, serving 500 Signature Burgers and barista coffees to attendees. It was more than just a meal — it was a gesture of care and solidarity, fuelling participants as they walked together for hope, remembrance, and change.

Throughout the day, there was a strong sense of unity and compassion as participants shared stories, connected with others, and stood together to break the stigma surrounding suicide. Each person who joined the walk helped to spread an important message: that no one has to face their struggles alone.
