RRT and Qizzle Provide Essential Stationery Kits Amid Cost-of-Living Crisis
As the cost-of-living crisis continues to impact families across New Zealand, the Rapid Relief Team (RRT) has joined forces with Qizzle to provide crucial support to students in low-decile schools. Through this meaningful collaboration, over 9,000 students have received affordable, fully-equipped stationery kits, ensuring they have everything they need to succeed in the classroom.
The collaboration between RRT and Qizzle is a timely response to the growing financial pressures on families. With many struggling to cover basic expenses, including school supplies, this initiative offers much-needed relief. By matching an RRT donation, Qizzle has enabled the distribution of discounted stationery kits to students in 34 schools nationwide.

It is a tough time for many families dealing with the cost-of-living crisis, and this is a small way we can help the community and provide some relief through these challenging times.”

The stationery kits, which include essential items like exercise books, pens, and pencils, are designed to meet the needs of students throughout the school year. By providing these kits at a significantly reduced cost, the program helps ensure that every student is equipped to participate fully in their education from day one.
Qizzle spokesperson Jason Suckling emphasized the impact of the RRT donation, saying, “This stationery program allows every student to start school on day one with everything they need to participate in classroom learning. There are many costs associated with starting school, whether it’s stationery, uniforms, or other expenses. This program is designed to make certain students have all the basics they need, at a fraction of the cost for parents.”
The initiative has been met with gratitude from schools across the country. Otaki College Deputy Principal Hamish Wood expressed his appreciation, noting the positive impact on students and families. “One of the challenges in this area is that not everyone has as much ability to pay for everything, and that makes it more difficult for some to come to school ready to learn than others. We have wonderful students who range from year 7 to year 13, and the difference this makes to them and their families is huge. We want to thank Qizzle and the Rapid Relief Team for their support.”
