Intense rainfall led to severe flash flooding in Bahía Blanca, Argentina, with approximately 400mm of rain falling in just eight hours on March 7, nearly two-thirds of the area's annual average. Floodwaters rose to over two meters in parts of the city, forcing the evacuation of the city's hospital and over 1,000 residents. Homes, buildings and infrastructure have been severely impacted.

With Bahía Blanca home to some of our RRT volunteers, our thoughts are not only with them, but all those affected. RRT volunteers are currently preparing to assist in the long road to recovery.
